Personal Testimonial,

I suffered from migraines for twenty-seven years of my life.  They were absolutely
horrible and not to mention very, very debilitating.  A cold-sweat, nausea that
makes you want to die!  Hyper-sensitivity to lights, aromas, touch, even the wrong
temperature is too much to handle.

I also knew what triggered them and that was always a gamble!  Delaying a meal,
slight dehydration, sugar, that time of the month, processed foods, cheese, stress,
lack of sleep, sulfites, artificial sweeteners, overexertion, changes in the
barometric pressure!  Ugh!

The problem here, too, is that often when I would call in sick; it truly seemed as
though my employer had a hard time believing how debilitating the migraine
headache was.  I often lost at least a whole day off of work - that was just in my
thirties and early forties!  In my twenties, I could easily go a few days straight with
a migraine!

I have always been strong-willed and so when the migraine came on - usually at 4
o'clock in the morning; whatever plans I had for the day were shot!  It was very
frustrating because not only was I strong-willed, but kept very busy.  I was either
working full-time and going to school full-time and when I wasn't doing that, I was
working two jobs!  Losing productivity days often meant losing money or
classroom lessons.  As reliable as I strive to be, a migraine would not be
conducive to any plans I had.  It was over - in bed for the whole day at minimum
without a doubt.  Nothing else stopped me like a migraine!

I kept caffeine on hand in my night stand drawer so that I could reach for it without
having to get out of bed because they were so debilitating!  In my younger years;
before knowing about wellness and how medication isn't good for the liver, I took
all kinds of headache medicines; never prescribed because of the side effects.  I
took handfuls of them because the migraine would not go away!  I tell you, I would
prefer a toothache over a migraine any day.  They are terrible.   Eventually, even
the over the counter products didn't even work.

In February of 2010, I started drinking Viva from Sportron.  It is a very powerful
antioxidant supplement.  I didn't specifically take it to relieve my migraines,
however, I took it for the health benefits of fighting free radicals.  It was very
interesting taking this because all of a sudden, I noticed that I wasn't getting
migraines!  My last migraine was in April of 2010!  Thank God!

In doing some research, I learned that antioxidants have been used in studies with
migraine patients!  Go figure!  In the journal Headache, a study was done on
eleven men and eleven women who did not respond to several types of drugs to
include beta-blockers, antidepressants and anticonvulsants.  They were treated
with a regimen of antioxidants and they experienced fewer and less severe
migraines.

OK, so what exactly is a free radical?  According to Merriam-Webster's Medical
Dictionary, © 2007 Merriam-Webster, Inc. :  free radical definition  Function: n :
an especially reactive atom or group of atoms that has one or more unpaired
electrons especially :  one that is produced in the body by natural biological
processes or introduced from outside (as in tobacco smoke, toxins, or pollutants)
and that can damage cells, proteins, and DNA by altering their chemical structure.

"There is evidence that damaging molecules known as free radicals, which are
produced by normal metabolism, may contribute to the development of migraine,
Dr. Sirichai Chayasirisobhon of Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Anaheim,
California notes. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals and could thus help prevent
migraine from occurring".

"After three months, the patients had an average 50.6-percent improvement in
MIDAS scores. In the three months before the treatment, they reported an
average of 44.4 days of headache, compared to 26.0 days during the three-month
treatment. Before treatment, participants rated their headache severity, on
average, as 7.5 out of 10; this fell to 5.5 out of 10 after treatment".

"Two patients showed no reduction in disability, headache severity or headache
days after treatment. When the analysis was limited to the nine responders,
MIDAS scores showed a 67.9 percent reduction".

"The findings suggest “that this antioxidant supplementation may mitigate some as
yet unknown mechanisms involved in a migraine attack,” Chayasirisobhon writes".

"He concludes: “The substantial effect shown by the antioxidant formulation in the
present study in lessening the impact of migraine on patients’ daily activities
warrants further investigation.”  SOURCE: Headache, May 2006.

So, there you have it!  Who knew?!  I am so glad and thankful to Sportron for
providing me with this wonderful antioxidant!  Now it makes so much sense to me
as to how the migraines have been cured!  I have done everything to trigger them,
that's for sure, but I haven't had one migraine in over a year!!
